Artist Bio's

ChadChad has been practicing the fine art of tattooing and piercing since 1996.

Opening his first studio in 1996 - Forever Ink,  located in Sanford, Maine was a true learning experience.  With some outside help from business and tattoo minds alike the shop was soon a success.

Our latest business; Venom Ink Tattoo started November 2004 in Dover, New Hampshire.  After quickly developing a strong clientele the shop moved to it's new location in Sanford, Maine. The shop is thriving, busy...busy...busy!  With two great daughters and the perfect woman, staying grounded is not a problem.  Venom Ink gains new clientele daily and strives to make each and everyone of them proud to wear our work.

Chad specializes in realism, but isn't limited to that by any means. Look at his portfolio and you'll see eveyrthing from bio-organic pieces to portraiture to asian  inspired. Anything is possible. No limitations!

Man Hands Dan Kelley is what they call me around here.

I am 22 years old born and raised in Maine. I have been tattooing since early 2010. I fell in love with tattoos at the age of 17 and soon after that I began my first apprenticeship. Moving from shop  to  shop when I was 18, I finally ended up at Venom Ink Tattoo soon after I turned 19. It is then that I began apprenticing under two amazing artists Chad Chase and Chris Chubbuck and for nearly 3 years I busted my butt to learn all that I could about the art of tattooing. I've dedicated my entire life to this and I am thrilled each and every time I get to put a piece of art in someones skin.

Bright and bold color is my favorite style of tattooing but I enjoy other styles as well. You can never bore me with your tattoo ideas, throw something at me and I will  give you a quality finished  product that leaves you wanting to come back for more.

Before settling down, here in southern Maine, Elizabeth Bruns spent most of 2012 traveling the country, attending tattoo conventions, taking seminars, and tattooing part time. It wasn't until she moved to southern Maine in April of 2013, that Elizabeth started tattooing full time. Elizabeth is comfortable in many different styles including American Traditional, Neo traditional, New School, Illustrative, and is now dabbling in realism.

Elizabeth really loves draw, so there's nothing that makes her happier then designing a custom tattoo for each individual client. If you give her a basic idea of what you're looking for and a little artistic freedom, there's no doubt that she'll be able to come up with something unique and one of a kind just for you.

Zach Mcdougall is a tattoo artist born and raised in central Maine. He started his apprenticeship in 2007, and in 2009 began tattooing in downtown Portland where he stayed for nearly 7 years. Zach recently got married and had his first child, which has given him a motivation and sense of purpose to excel in his craft like never before.

His style of tattooing is largely inspired by the metal and hardcore scene that helped him discover himself and the cartoons that raised him. His preferred style of tattooing is neo-traditional, which blends the aesthetics of traditional tattoos, with the color, depth and dimension old new school tattoos. However, Zach isn't limited to just that and is well versed in all types of tattooing. Zach takes a lot of pride in his tattooing, and will always make sure you get the best possible tattoo you can, even if that means it’s not with him.

Zach takes every tattoo that he does, big or small, personal and is honored that you have placed faith in him to mark a moment in time, remember loved ones, cover up past mistakes, tell your story and most of all express yourself.

I have always been an artist at heart, and didn't know it until my
fifth grade teacher pulled me aside to tell me I have a gift.
I will never forget that day. I am born and raised from southern
Orange County, California and moved to Maine in 2009, just in
time to see my first snow fall. Instead of finishing my bachelors degree I started in California, I got myself into an apprenticeship
in 2013 in Maine. Throughout the challenges, the tears, and the
fears, I am thankful for the struggle that got me to where I am
now. I enjoy working with color in realism and new school styled
tattooing most, however, I am always ready to work with clients
 on their next custom piece.
